GIFT BASKET 101 - Helpful Hints & New Gift Basket Boxes!

There are a lot of little things you can do to make your gift basket making easy.  Here are some tips to keeping things simple:

*Try filling your basket or box with two pieces of tissue crumpled up or newspaper, then top with shred.  This will save you from using too much expensive shred.

*Place your heavier and bigger items at the back of the basket then move forward.

*Start putting items in from back to front and you may want to put a heavier jar of lotion or candle in the center to keep things even in weight.

*After all of your items are inside, consider adding a few wrapped cello bags with small items inside or organza bags.  This gives them something else to open and also makes the basket look fuller.

*Add your basket to a bag and tie with a twist tie, two strands of curling ribbon (two different colors) then complete with a bow.  If you have a hard time with bows, consider the pull bow, a tulle bow or simply tie raffia around it.

*If you are adding a gift card, punch a hole in it, add to the curling ribbon before you knot the curling ribbon which will keep it in place, then attach your bow.

*Tape loose ends of the bag underneath the basket.
